Position Summary:

 The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Wessington Cryogenic’s market presence in the cryogenic vessel industry. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the cryogenic industry, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record in business development. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
    • Analyse competitor activities and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  2. Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring profitable growth.
    • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Address customer needs and provide technical support and solutions.
    • Conduct regular follow-ups to assess client needs and enhance service delivery.
  4. Collaboration and Team Leadership:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
    • Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure product offerings meet market demands.
    • Mentor and support junior sales team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  5. Product Knowledge and Training:
    • Stay updated with the latest industry developments and technological advancements.
    • Provide training and support to the sales team on product features and benefits.
    • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company’s products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field or significant industry experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the cryogenic or related industry. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. 
  • Strong understanding of the cryogenic vessel market and related industries. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Willingness to travel as required.
