Job Title: Pipefitter Welder
Reporting To: Production Team Leader
Location: Wessington Cryogenics Limited, Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear
Overall Aim: We are looking for a talented pipefitter to expedite pipefitting and welding activities safely and efficiently to agreed work plans. As a pipefitter you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, and to carry out pipefitting, steelwork fabrication/repair & welding activities , planned and reactive, as directed, to ensure facilities are maintained in compliance with company processes and EH&S, design and maintenance standards
Outline of responsibilities:
- Prepare vessels & equipment for NDT inspection
- Provide technical & troubleshooting support to company personnel in mechanical matters, including breakdowns
- Assist with the development, implementation & review of site-wide maintenance programmes & procedures
- Control and coordinate storage, use, inspection and testing of lifting operations equipment
- Assist with the control and coordination of spare parts and the optimisation of stock levels associated with pipefitting welding.
- Ensure appropriate maintenance records are kept up to date to facilitate data analysis for reliability improvements; CMMS reports to be completed on a timely basis , data checked for accuracy and updated as appropriate.
- Comply with safe work systems and maintenance procedures
- Maintain high level of housekeeping in Workshop, stores and work areas
- Report unsafe situations or occurrences
