Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker

Reporting To: Production Team Leader

Location: Wessington Cryogenics Limited, Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear

Overall Aim: We are looking for a talented sheet metal worker to build high-quality metal components for our clients. As a sheet metal worker, you will be required to measure and cut sheet metal, and used specialised tools to shape and join the pieces. You may also be required to read and interpret engineering blueprints, fabricate metal components or structures, and perform quality checks on finished products.

Outline of responsibilities:

• Manufacturing and installing various sheet metal products.
• Measuring, marking and laying out sheets of metal for specific jobs
• Operating various computerised tools that precisely cut, bend or straighten the metal sheets
• Polishing metal areas like rough surfaces or the seams and joints between two sheets of metals
• Welding different sheets of metal together
• Reading and applying work specifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 37 per week
