The Big Ride for Mal

In commemoration of Mal’s life and love of cycling, Gary Evans of Wessington Cryogenics organised a cycle ride for Mal’s former colleagues, friends and family to take part in. A really memorable day for all, raising over £1,000 for charity!
Mal’s wife Anne Marie, waved off the riders from the New Mill pub in South Sheilds.
Taking part in the ride were Mal’s daughters, Laura and Samantha, his brother Paul and Paul’s son.
Cyclists taking part from Wessington Cryogenics were Gary Evans, Alan Rutter, Paul Lawson, Mark Hodgson, Andy Houghton, Stuart Hatton and Paul Rowe. Also taking part were former Wessington workers Peter Shaw, Peter Ridley, Paul Atkinson, Craig Simpson, Colin Oxberry, David Stone, plus riders from the Seaburn Retro Cycling Club, all supported at the finish by family, friends and work colleagues.
