Steph McDowell, Health and Safety Advisor, Three Peaks Challenge

From challenge to challenge

Steph McDowell, our Health and Safety Advisor here at Wessington Cryogenics, has had quite a challenge over the last 15 months, keeping our staff and visitors safe during the pandemic. As if that wasn’t enough, Steph decided to take on an extra feat by taking part in The National Three Peaks Challenge for charity. Hebburn helps is a charity close to Steph’s heart which supports local families who are struggling to make ends meet.

The event started om Wales on Friday 18th June with a climb up Mount Snowdon, taking about 6 hours. On Saturday 19th June the group then climbed Scafell Pike, and on the following day headed to Ben Nevis, the highest of all the peaks.
This climb took 7 hours to complete! Steph said that this was the most difficult challenge however as a team they supported each other and got through it with smiles and laughter. Well done Steph!
