Overview:
Wessington Cryogenics manufacture a wide range of products including bulk-storage tanks, open dewars, self-pressurising vessels, ISO containers and road tankers amongst others. These are joined by an ever-increasing range of services including custom designs, repairs and refurbishments as well as the provision of spares & accessories.
With a distinguished history of engineering innovation, the team at Wessington takes great pride in handling special projects, creating bespoke designs, and expanding our standard product lines. We are particularly excited to contribute to the net-zero industry with our specially designed tanks for storing liquid carbon dioxide, bio LNG, and hydrogen.
Due to growth, Wessington Cryogenics are now seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join the QSHE Department who will have the responsible for providing Health & Safety, and Environment (HSE) support to the company’s ongoing operations and project support in accordance with both ISO 45001 & 14001.
The primary role is the development, maintenance and implementation of the company safety management system, environmental management system.
You must be knowledgeable of the required standards for safety and environmental management. The position requires a wide knowledge of the required subject-matters, you will coach and mentor other safety/compliance staff within the team.
Required Skills:
Safety and Environmental Regulations: Proficiency in understanding and implementing safety and environmental regulations and standards specific to the oil and gas sector.
Risk Assessment: The ability to conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigating them.
Incident Response: Skill in managing and responding to safety and environmental incidents, including conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively convey safety and environmental policies, procedures, and training to personnel at all levels.
Auditing and Compliance: Expertise in auditing operations for compliance with safety and environmental requirements and the ability to develop and execute compliance improvement plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:
A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Safety, and environmental discipline (science or engineering), and/or another engineering discipline from a recognised and accredited program. An advanced degree is preferred but not required.
Internal auditor qualification in Health and Safety, and environmental discipline.
